Outward Bound teams up with Women's Refuge
Applications are open for women and children from Women's Refuge to apply for the many challenging courses that Outward Bound offer for free. Learning by experience is the foundation of all the courses. Learning more about yourself and others from challenge, success, failure, self reflection and feedback is what is promoted.
We are grateful to Outward Bound for giving our women and children this wonderful opportunity.
NZ Sculpture OnShore
3-14 November 2010
NZ Sculpture OnShore will return to the dramatic cliff-top site of Fort Takapuna on Auckland's North Shore for their ninth exhibition. This iconic event features installations by over 100 New Zealand artists and has the reputation of being a fantastic way to spend the day absorbing the views of the artwork and the Hauraki Gulf. Youth programmes, guided tours, refreshments and live music complement the quality of the sculptures and add to the enjoyment of visitors.
Well established artists will present their work alongside very talented newcomers. Artists include the well-known Peter Lange, Bronwynne Cornish, Christine Hellyar, Sally Tagg, Paul Dibble, Gill Gatfield, Paora Toi-Te-Rangiuaia and Gregor Kregar; as well as many new faces and emerging artists, including Iain Cheeseman, Yona Lee, Yolunda Hickman, Sean Crawford, Carolyn Williams, Anna Korver, Niko Thomsen, Ben Foster, Tim Holman, Trish Clarke and Paul Brunton.
